The contributions and the charity works carried out by her are very remarkable.

Mother Teresa received Nobel prize and many awards during her life.

Mother Teresa Born on August 10 th 1910 at Kolkata.

She had established many charitable trust and missionaries for helping poor and old ages people.

Mother teresa is very kind hearted and energetic women. She had established more than 250 charitable trusts.

Mother teresa has spend her total life in helping others by the way of her missionaries and trusts.

Mother Teresa Expired in 1997.

After her death also her vision and trusts had run and are stilling running.

A Biography sketch on social worker

Dr. Prakash Baba Amte is a social worker from Maharashtra, India. He is well known for his social work in remote area, Hemalkasa in Gadchiroli district.

In 2008, he and his wife Dr. Mandakini Amte were awarded with the most respected ‘Magasaysay Award’ for their community leadership. Recently in November 2019, Bill Gates awarded Dr. Amte with ICMR Lifetime Achievement.

Dr. Prakash Amte is a doctor by profession but earning monetary gains through this profession was not his aim in life. He devoted his whole life for the betterment of Adivasis of Hemalkasa.  He inherited this quality from his father, a great social worker, Baba Amte.  

In the beginning when he started his social work, there was hardly any medical facility available. He also performed surgery in poor light. He and his wife give free medical treatment to these tribal people.  

In 1973, they moved to Hemalkasa to start a project called Lok Biradari Prakalp. Under this project they run Aashram school of around 600 students, an orphanage for wild animals and a hospital.
