The National Film Festival Awards 2020 was held in Netaji Indoor Stadium In Kolkata, on 26th August 2020. All the films, including short films and web films, were nominated for the various categories. The deserving candidates got an exquisite gift hamper along with the awards. The Ambuja company had paired up with Balaji Telefilms to organise and host this grand event.
Guestlist comprised of renowned faces from all aspects of life. Saurav Ganguly, Rituparna Sengupta, Agnimitra Paul, Soojit Sarkar, and many more such personalities attended the event. The highlight of the show were cultural performances by folk groups like Itikotha, and Bawl Shongo, India bands like The yellow diary, Fossils, F61s, theatre performance by Shloka troupe, and dance performances by Acrotics and Classic fusion.
The media coverage was kept minimal since the covid norms were still applicable. The viewers gave a great response to the show and the awardees, making the event successful.
