How magnificent O' children thee are!
You touch the Sun sleeping
And the day becomes brighter.
You blow into the nose of the Wind
And the winds start blowing gentle.
You smile with thy innocence
And the clouds go a far.
The seven seas cry with waves in joy
When you touch their ringlets.
Flowers bloom on this land of sins
So heavenly that the gods do praise thee!
Note:
- I understand from the surface of the sea that the beautiful creation is the children as their purity of innocence in the most powerful entity in the whole universe.
- There are stories that revolve around Little Krishna that he was able to kill Putana, a satanic force to kill Krishna. Krishna killed her.
BEAUTY
Can you say?
Why she is black?
And why I am so lack?
Even though she is pretty
And hearty.
Can you say?
Why nature is so beautiful?
Why the differences make
So cruel!
Babu
It is the almighty God!
Has made for us a beautiful Hut.
Made of sun, air, water and mud.
We are fit for our lust and needs.
Just like trees sleep in seeds.
Note:
- In this poem a little boy asks his mother some questions. The ‘first two hymns’ are questions for his mother. And in the last stanza his mother answers him.
- Here Babu means son. To express deep love for 'son' or boy the word 'babu' has been used as son.
- I am so lack means 'I am feeling so lack'.
