1) Write linear equations of the sides of the rectangle ABCD shown in the figure.

  • Equation of a line AB : y = -3
  • Equation of a line BC : x = 2
  • Equation of a line CD : y = 2
  • Equation of a line DA : x = -1

2) Also find the area of the rectangle.

 Length \:of \:a \: rectangle (AB) = 3 \:units

 Breadth \: (BC) = 5 \:units

 Area \:of \: ABCD = AB \times BC

 = 3 \times 5

 = 15 \: square \:units

3) Mention the coordinates where the line p and q intersect

 Coordinates \:of \: A(-1,-3), B(2,-3)

 C(2,2) \:and \:D(-1,2)
