2x+3=11

=>2x=11-3

=>2x=8

=>x=4

Roster form of A={4}

(ii). A = {x : x2 - 4x - 5 = 0}

-4x-5=0

=>+x-5x-5=0

=>x(x+1)-5(x+1)=0

=>(x+1)(x-5)=0

=>x+1=0=>x=-1

x-5=0=>x=5

Roster form of Az={-1,5}

iii) Az = {x : Xe Z, -3 <x<4}

Roster form of Az={-2,-1,0,1,2,3}

iv) A4 = {x : x is a two digit number and sumof the digits of x is 7}

Roster form of A4={16,25,34,43,52,61,70}

(v) Ag = {x : X = 4n, ne W and ņ < 4}

x=4n

if n=0,x=4(0)=0

if n=1,x=4(1)=4

if n=2,x=4(2)=8

if n=3,x=4(3)=12
