Question :-

 \frac{1}{x + 1}  -  \frac{1}{x - 1}  = 3

where x is not equal to ±1 .

\huge{\mathfrak{\underline{\red{Solution!}}}}

  => \frac{1}{(x + 1)}  -  \frac{1}{(x - 1)}  = 3

  => \frac{x - 1 -( x   +   1)}{(x - 1)(x   +  1)}  = 3

  => \frac{x - 1 -x   -   1}{(x - 1)(x   +  1)}  = 3

  => \frac{- 1 -   1}{(x - 1)(x   +  1)}  = 3

  =>  - 2 = 3(x - 1)(x   +  1)

  => (x - 1)(x   +  1) =   \frac{ - 2}{3}

Here, we will get two conditions and two answers...

First one,

 =  >  \: x - 1 =   \frac{ - 2}{3}

 =  >  \: x =  \frac{ - 2}{3}  + 1

 =  >  \: x =  \frac{ - 2 + 3}{3}

 =  >  \: x =  \frac{1}{3} \:  ans.

Second one,

 =  >  \: x + 1 =  \frac{ - 2}{3}

 =  >  \: x  =  \frac{ - 2}{3}  - 1

 =  >  \: x  =  \frac{ - 2 - 3}{3}

 =  >  \: x  =  \frac{ - 5}{3}  \: ans.

Hope It Helps
