Solution :-

x² - 3x - 10 = 0

x² - 5x + 2x - 10 = 0

x(x - 5) +2(x - 5) = 0

(x - 5) (x + 2) = 0

x = 5, -2

More to know :-

Polynomials = Poly (means many) + nomials (means terms). Thus, a polynomial contains many terms. Thus, a type of algebraic expression with many terms having variables and coefficients is called polynomial.
