x { }^{2}  -( a + b)x + ab

 = x {}^{2}  - ax - bx + ab

 = x(x - a) - b(x - a)

 = (x - a)(x - b)

2ab - 3cd - 3bc + 2ad

➩ Do the grouping 2ab+2ad−3cd - 3bc =(2ab+2ad)+(−3cd – 3 bc ), and factor out 2a in the first and −3c in the second group.

2a(b - d)  +  3c(b - d)

Factor out common term b – d by using distributive property.

(b  +  d)(2a  +  3c)
