Golden Rules:

• In indirect speech, we will not use the quotation marks and whenever the reported verb 'said' is followed by 'to' we will change it into told.

• Present tense in direct speech becomes past tense in indirect speech.

• Universal truth and habitual facts will not change.

• Pronouns and possessive adjective of first and second person in direct speech and change into third person in indirect speech.
