10/19 is a rational number.
bcz,
10/19 = 0.526315789
which is a terminating and non - repeating decimal expansion.

And 10/19 is written in p/q form where q is not equal to 0 and p and q are integers.

Hope this helps you....:)

10/19 is a rational number as is in p/q form where p and q are integers and q is not equal to 0.

mallelavenkaiah: but 22/7 is
Anonymous: No, 22/7 is also rational number.... if you are talking about pie then the value of pie is approximately taken as 22/7
Anonymous: and if you divide 22/7 then you will get a terminating and repeating decimal expansion
saumyasinha: 22/7 is irrational bt pie is rational......the absolute value of pie is not 22/7 it is only an apporximate value which decimal expension is terminating and repeating.
