10. A verandah of width 4.5 m is constructed along a room outside it. If the dimensions of the room are 18.5 x 14 m, find the following: (a) Area of the verandah (b) The cost of paving tiles in the verandah at the rate of 20 per m2​

∴, Length of room with verandah=5.5+2.25+2.25=10m

Area of room=Length×Width=5.5×4=22m

Area of verandah=Area of room with verandah−Area of room=85−22=63m
