10. An open tank is 3 m long, 2 m wide and 1 m 50 cm deep. Find the amount of paint required to paint its
inside and outside, if 1 kg of paint covers 20 square metres. (Neglect the thickness of the material)​

Total surface area of tank = 2 (lb + bh + hl)  = 2( 3 x 2 + 2 x 1.5 + 1.5 x 3)

                                              = 2 x 13.5 = 27 m^2

1 kg paint = 20 m^2

so 27 m^2 = 27 x 1 / 20 = 1.35kg of paint
