Explanation:

Kezia was afraid of her father. She usually stuttered while talking to him. He was a busy man and don't had enough free time to spend with his family. When grandmother would send Kezia to have a nice chat with her parents, her presence would not get much attention.

Once grandmother suggested Kezia to make a pin cushion with a yellow silk cloth as a birthday gift to her father. She laboriously stitched the three sides with double cotton but was confused what to put inside the pin cushion. She then went to her mother's bedroom and discovered a great many sheets of fine paper besides the bed table. She took some of them and tore into pieces and filled the pin cushion with them.

When her parents got to know about this, there was a hue and cry in the evening. Kezia's mother scolded her badly and her father hitted her palms with a ruler for touching the things that did not belong to her. This made her father to punish her severely.

No, his action cannot be justified because he could have made Kezia realize her mistake without loosing his temper. Also, it was Kezia's fault too because she had not asked anyone before tearing the important papers.

Hope this will help you. If yes, then please mark this as brainliest answer.
