ethanol (CH3CH2OH) in alcoholic drinks
methane (CH4) to burn for fuel in gas boilers and hobs
butane (C4H10) as lighter fuel

*sodium lauryl sulphate in toilet soap
*sodium fluoride in  toothpaste
*sucrose in food
*sodium hydrogen carbonate as bread soda
*sodium carbonate used as water softener
*phosphoric acid  in areated drinks or cola
*acetic acid in vinegar
*sodium nitrate in fertiliser 
*sodium carbonate as baking soda
