ACIDS LIBERATE H+ IONS IN THEIR AQUOS SOLUTION WHERE BASE LIBERATE OH - IONS. IN THEIR AQUOS SOLUTION.

ACIDS HAVE SOUR IN TASTE WHEREAS BASE HAVE BITTER IN TASTE ACIDS PH VALUE IS LESS THAN 7 BUT BASE HAVE THE PH VALUE IS MORE THAN 7 ACIDS TURNS BLUE LITIMUS TO RED WHEREAS BASE TURNS RED TO BLUE.

HCL, HNO3, CH3COOH, ETC ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF ACIDS AND NAOH, MG(OH) 2, ETC ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF BASE.

HOPE IT CORRECT AND MAY HELP YOU..

PLEASE MARK ME BRAINLIST ANSWER..

Explanation:

1.acid have sour taste, base have bitter.

2.acid gives H+ ions in solution, bases gives OH- ions.

3.acid turns red litmus to blue, but bases remains unaffected.

4.acid remain unaffected on blue litmus paper, bases turns blue litmus to red..

5.acid causes burning on skin,bases doesn't.

6.acid react with metal to give salt and water, but bases doesn't give this reaction.

7.methyl orange gives yellow on reaction with base ,acid becomes colorless

8.greater the ph value weaker will be acidity of acid, greater the ph value stronger will base

9.acids are proton doner, bases are proton acceptor

10.acids are electron pair acceptor, bases are electron pair doner
