Deccan Plateau

They lie to the north of the Narmada river

They lie to the south of the Narmada river

They are bounded by the Aravali mountains, Vindhya range, Malwa and Chotanagpur Plateau

They are bounded the Eastern ghats and the western ghats

The Chota Nagpur Plateau mark its eastwards extension

The Mahadev, Kaimur Hills and Maikal range make its eastern part

Its slope is from west to east

Its slope is from southwest to northeast
