How much water can be filled in a tank that is 5-feet long, has a 4-ft breadth and is 3-ft wide?

This question belongs to area of mathematics called mensuration. Here, we need to calculate the volume ( capacity) of a container which is 5 ft long i.e. Length = 5 feet, 4 ft breadth i.e. Breadth = 4 feet and 3 ft wide i.e. height/depth = 3 feet.

By formula of volume for a rectangular container,

Volume = Length × Breadth × Height

So,

Volume = 5×4×3

Hence volume/ capacity of container to hold water is 60 cubic feet which is 60 litres of water.

Thanks for the question. Cheers !
