a) mole fraction of ethanol.
b) molality of solution.

mass of ethanol =10 g

molar mass [C2H5OH]=46

mass of water = 50 g

molar mass of H2o = 18

moles of C2H5OH= 10 ÷46

=0.22 mol

moles of H2O = 50÷ 18

= 2.78 mol

mole fraction [c2h5oh] = 0.22/[0.22+2.78]

= 0.22/3

= 0.073

molality = mass of solute× 1000/ molar mass × mass of solvent[in gram]

=10×1000/46×50

=10000/2300

= 4.35 m [ mol/kg]
