Answer:

a) The burning of wood leads to the formation of new substances like ash(carbon), carbon dioxide gas, water vapour, heat and light. This change is irreversible and hence a chemical change. While cutting wood into smaller pieces is a physical change as there is no change in the original composition of wood.

b)Earthquake are undesirable because undesirable changes are those changes which are not beneficial . earthquake destroys everything and those things are not remain useful for us.

c)Sublimation is the process in which a solid is converted to gas by heating and then the gas can cooled to get back the solid substance. Therefore, sublimation of ammonium chloride is a temporary and reversible change.

d)The germination of a seed is a slow and irreversible process as it takes few days to months to germinate a seedling from a seed, and this is irreversible because the same seedling which grows into a plant cannot revert back in its growth.
