It is Asia's one of the oldest and longest major roads.

It links south Asia to central Asia.

It runs from Chittagong to Bangladesh. It also covers, west Howrah, west Bengal, northern India passing through Delhi, Amritsar, and also continues to Lahore, Peshawar, Pakistan and then finally stops at Kabul, Afghanistan.
