Finding y :

$\angle{x}$ + $\angle{y}$ = 180°

⇒ 82° + $\angle{y}$ = 180°

⇒$\angle{y}$ = 180° - 82°

⇒ $\angle{y}$ = 98°

.°. $\angle{y}$ = 98°

Why?

• The measure of supplementary angles are 180°.

Hence, $\angle{x}$ = 82° & $\angle{y}$ = 98°
