Rabindronath Tagore was a Bengali poet but he is famous all around the world for his works. He was born on 7th May, 1861 at Jorashanko Thakur Bari, Kolkata.He was the first Nobel Prize winner of Asia. He got Nobel Prize for "Gitanjali" in 1913. He wrote "Jana Gana Mana" song, which is India's national anthem. He also wrote Bangladesh's National anthem "Amar Sonar Bangla". He took his last breath on 7th August, 1941. He wrote countless novels, "Gora" , "Chokher Bali", "Maloncho" ,"Noukadubi" , "Ghore Baire" ,"Sesher Kobita" etc. He founded Visva bharati university at Bolpur. He was one of the greatest writers of the World.
