10 men and 24 women works for 6 days on the same work and the remaining work is done by 18 boys in 18 days. then find the number of days in which 12 boys completed the whole work.

let men be 'x'

let women be 'y'

so,
       \frac{10}{x} + \frac{24}{y} =  \frac{1}{6} ..............(1)

i think in the sentence they my mistake wrote boys instead of men so if it is men 

 \frac{18}{x} =  \frac{1}{18}

x = 324

so now substitute this in 1st equation 

 \frac{10}{324} + \frac{24}{y} = \frac{1}{6}

 \frac{24}{y} = \frac{1}{6} - \frac{10}{324}

 \frac{24}{y} = \frac{11}{81}

y =  \frac{81}{11} (24  )
