Brine, is a highly concentrated solution of sodium chloride, also called common salt or table salt.

When sodium hydroxide react with hydrochloric acid a neutral salt is formed which is also called brine or NACL.

When this NACL is found in water form, or referred to as salt water it is known as Brine.
