Teachers should punish students in school as the students learn the way to behave in school and learn lessons like punctuality, obedience, respect to elders, doing their work properly,etc. When a student is punished by his/ her teacher, the student feel ashamed being punished in front of whole class and they try not to repeat the same mistake again. The main object of punishment should be to make the student realise their mistake and giving them chance to correct it and not to insult them or make them complete the whole punishment even if they realise their mistake.
