Why muslims in Kashmir throw stones on military?

Kashmiris resorting to pelting of stones on the security forces is sad for Kashmiris as well as rest of the country. The complex problem of Kashmir has to be understood holistically. I have analyzed the situation recommended and probable solutions in brief.

Reasons for Stone Pelting

There are several reasons for stone pelting. Major reasons are:

   Kashmiris’ anger against the state and central government. Since security forces represent the government they are targeted.

   Anger against the counter-terrorist operations conducted by the security forces and sympathy for the terrorists, particularly the local youth.

   Instigation of the youth to do so by the separatists and terrorists by indoctrination as well by incentives of money and material.
