10.
The pressure P and volume V of a gas are
related as PV3/2 = K where K is a constant. The
percentage increase in the pressure for a
diminution of 0.5% of the volume is
(1) 0.25%
(2) 0.75%
(3) 1.50%
(4) 0.50%

osuravisnaka12: Are you sure the correct answer is 0.75%?

Answer:

(4) 0.50%

Explanation:

Since PV3/2 = K

What ever the amount by which the volume has reduced must be equal to the amount by which the pressure has increased.

∴ Percentage increase in the pressure will also be the same (0.5%)

nisha5823: it's wrong
osuravisnaka12: my bad :/
nisha5823: the ans. will be 0.75%
osuravisnaka12: Any more details given in the sum?
osuravisnaka12: Any ideas of doing this? I keep getting the same thing xD
