Amorphous carbon is mainly use as a fuel.
Graphite is used in pencils.
Nitrogen can be used as food preservative and in bulbs because of its inert nature.
Sulphur is used in making matches.
Chlorine is used as a bleaching agent in the presence of moisture.
The nobal/inert gases are normally used in electric bulbs and tubes.
Hydrogen is often used as fuel because of its high calorific value.
