Answer: 192 Tiles

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Area that has to covered = 6*8 m^2 = 48m^2

Area of Each Tile = 0.5*0.5=0.25m^2

No. of tiles required= total area/Area of each Tile = 48/0.25 = 192

∴No. of Tiles required = 192

Breadth, length of room is 6m and 8m respectively.

side of a square tile=0.5m

Now area of floor = area of rectangle

=l×b=6×8=48 sq. m.

area of square tile = side×side

=0.5×0.5=0.25sq. m.

No. of tiles required=48/0.25

=48×100/25=48×4=192 square tiles
