Answer:

1, -2/5

Step-by-step explanation:

Factorization:

Given Equation is f(x) = 5x² - 3x - 2

= 5x² + 2x - 5x - 2

= x(5x + 2) - 1(5x + 2)

= (x - 1)(5x + 2)

Zeroes:

∴ f(x) = 0

⇒ (x - 1)(5x + 2) = 0

x = 1, -2/5.

Hope it helps!

Hey,

We will use the Splitting the Middle Term method:-

= 5x² - 3x - 2

= 5x² - 5x + 2x -2

= 5x(x - 1) + 2(x - 1)

= (5x +2) (x-1)

So, the zeros would be :-

5x + 2 = 0

5x = -2

x = \frac{-2}{5}

And,

x - 1 = 0

x = 1

So, the zeroes are \frac{-2}{5} and 1 !
