10 years ago a father was 4 years as old as his son. five years ago the father was three times as old as his son. find there present ages​

Let the son's age be x.

Father's age =3x

∴3x−5=4(x−5)

or 3x−5=4x−20

or 20−5=4x−3x or x=15

After 5 years, son's age is x+5=15+5=20.

Father's age is 3x+5=45+5=50 which is 30 years more than son's age.
