Given :- 100 cm/s can be represented in km/h as:

a. 4.5 km/h

b. 2.5 km/h

c. 3.6 km/h

Answer :-

we know that,

  • 1 km = 1000 * 100 = 100000 cm .
  • 1 hour = 60 * 60 = 3600 seconds .

so, we can say that,

→ in 1 second distance covered is = 100cm

→ in 3600 seconds distance covered is = 100 * 3600 = 360000 cm .

then,

→ 100000 cm = 1 km

→ 1 cm = (1/100000) km

→ 360000 cm = (1/100000) * 360000 = 3.6 km .

Hence, speed will be 3.6 km/h . (Option C)

Given:

100 cm/s can be represented in km/h as:?

Solution:

100 cm/s

we know that 100 cm is 1 meter

1 m/s = ? km/h

1 meter = 1/1000 km

1 sec = 1/3600 hr

1 meter per sec (1 m/s) :

 =  >  \dfrac{ \dfrac{1}{1000} }{ \dfrac{1}{3600} }  =  \dfrac{3600}{1000}  =  \dfrac{18}{5}

So, to change the m/s to km/h, just multiply the given number by 18 and then divide it by 5.

 =  > 1 \: m/s \:  =  \dfrac{1 \times 18}{5}

 =  >  \dfrac{18}{5}  = 3.6 \: km/h

Hence, the required answer is option - c => 3.6 km/h
