moles react = 0.2×0.1 = 0.02

NaOH+HCl=NaCl + HOH

NaOH reacted = 0.02×40 = 0.8g

Given: 100 ml of 0.2 M HCl reacts with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) solution completely

To find: Mass of NaOH reacted

Explanation: Molarity of HCl(M)= 0.2 M

Volume of HCl reacted(V)= 100 mL= 0.1 L

So,number of moles reacted= M * V

= 0.2* 0.1

= 0.02 moles

For complete reaction, moles reacted should be equal.

Molar mass of NaOH= 40g/ mol

So, moles of NaOH reacted is also 0.02 moles.

Moles= Mass / Molar mass

=> Mass= Moles* Molar mass

= 0.02 * 40

= 0.8 g

Therefore, the mass of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) reacted is 0.8 g.
