100 ml of 0.3N HCl solution is mixed with 200ml of 0.6N H2SO4 solution what is the normality of H2SO4 solution what is the normality of H2SO4 in the final solution.

normality of final solution=(volume of HCl×normality of HCl+volume of H2SO4×normality of H2SO4)/total volume


(0.3×100+0.6×200)/300=>(30+120)/300=>150/300=0.5N

sukrititom: i did the same but answer is 1.5 N
Draj1: check your calculation, the answer should be 0.5N !

sukrititom: i think this concept is applied only for neutralization reactions ...and this is not neutralization reaction as we are mixing two strong acids
