1000×25=20× x

25000=20x

25000 upon 20=x

this is a problem of inverse proportion

so

x1y1 = x2y2

1000 * 20 = x * 25  ( where x is the new no. of soldiers)

therefore

x = 20000 / 25

x= 800

therfore

the no . of soldiers left = 1000 - 800

thus, the no. of soldiers transferred were 200.
