no.of plants in one column  =  no.of plant in each row

Let the no.of plants be x.

total no.of plants = x * x

                            =x²

x² = 1024

x = root 1024

x = 32

So, there are 32 plants in one column.

Answer:

Suppose the number of plants is each row = z

Then,

Number of rows = number of plants in each row = z

So, the total plants = z×z=z^2

As per question,

z^2=1024

z=32

Hence, plants in each row = 32
