N2 + 3H2 -> 2NH3 is the balanced equation

1 vol requires 3 vol of H2 ... As per the question 10 ml requires 30 ml H2

So considering 20 ml H2 then only 10*2/3 = 6.67 ml can react and they combine to form

2*6.67 = 13.34ml NH3 with 3.33ml N2 left over

option is A and C (if approximated)

harsha250101: Sorry your approximation is wrong. Well tried. Please try again to do this
harsha250101: Thanks a lot for trying the question
harsha250101: Once again you try the answer
karthic49: a silly error
karthic49: corrected it, hope you got it now
karthic49: see the edited answer
karthic49: even D can be the answer, if you consider mixture means both NH3 and the remaining H2
karthic49: *N2

Answer:

10ml of N_2   is reacted with 20ml of  H_2  to form NH_3. The correct statements are

A)13.3ml NH_3 formed

C)3.4ml N_2  left after reaction

Explanation:

According to the given data the correct equation is,

N_2 + H_2 \rightarrow NH_3

Again the balanced form of the equation is,

N_2 + 3H_2 \rightarrow 2NH_3

Now, from the above equation it is clear that 1 volume of N_2 reacts with 3 volume of H_2 to produce 2 volume of NH_3.

Again, it id given in the question that the volume of

N_2  is 10ml,

H_2  is 20ml

As per the question 10 ml N_2  requires 30 ml H_2 .

So considering 20 ml H_2 then only 10\times \frac{2}{3} = 6.67 ml can participate in the reaction and then they combine to form 2\times6.67 = 13.34 ml  NH_3 having 3.33ml N_2  left over after the reaction.

Hence, the correct answer is option(a) 13.3ml NH_3 formed and option (c) 3.4ml N_2  left after reaction.
