The hold of the caste system in India is deep, dark skin is the skin of the lowest castes, traditionally the subjugated people and, therefore, disagreeable. People face a lot of discrimination because of their skin color in every sector of society. The fair skin people are given much importance and opportunities in comparison to the dark-skinned people. India stands on the verge of being one of the color prejudiced countries where color, caste, gender and status of the person are the parameters to judge people. For upper caste people with fair skin, it becomes much easier to grab opportunities and stand before people. On the other hand, the dark skin people become of the most dominated people in the society. They face a lot of discrimination in every field irrespective of their excellence.
