No. Of moles of that gas=11.2L/22.4L=1/2 mole
Given mass =14g
We know,
No. Of moles =given mass /molecular mass
=>1/2 mole=14/molar mass
=>molar mass=28g
Hence the gas is Nitrogen.
Hope that helps you :-)

Answer : The mass of gas is, 28 gram. So, the gas could be, N_2,CO,C_2H_4 (Nitrogen, carbon monoxide, Ethylene).

Solution :

As we know that at STP, 1 mole of gas contains 22.4 liter volume of gas.

As, 11.2 liter volume of gas present in 14 gram of gas

So, 22.4 liter volume of gas present in \frac{14}{11.2}\times 22.4=28g of gas

Thus, the mass of gas is, 28 gram. So, the gas could be, N_2,CO,C_2H_4 (Nitrogen, carbon monoxide, Ethylene).
