Ans. Mr. Gessler was a fine shoemaker. His craftsmanship was
of high quality, but he was not a successful in his trade. He was living
in the age of advertisement. He never advertised his goods. He did
every thing himself. He did not believe in publicity. He believed in
doing good work which took long time. The big firm got the work
done through artisans on a large scale. They attracted customers by
wide publicity. This is why Gessler lost many of his customers. His
business went on decreasing day by day.​
