Answer: 1/8 of Work or 12.5%

Let No. of units of work C completes in 1 hr be x

Then Total Work = 12x

As A works 3 times as fast as C, then work completed by him in 1 hr is 3x

There using the condition A works twice as fast as B

Speed of B= 1.5x/Hr

Percentage of work B does in 1 hour = \frac{1.5x}{12x} =1/8 of the work = 12.5%

Step-by-step explanation:

C can complete a work in 12 hours.

So, C's 1 hour work = 1/12

Also, A can complete the same work three times faster than C.

So, A's 1 hour work = ( C's 1 hour work × 3)

= 1/12 × 3

= 1/4

Also, A can complete the same work twice as fast as B.

So, B's 1 hour work = (A's 1 hour work) ÷ 2

= 1/4 ÷ 2

= 1/4 × 1/2

= 1/8

Therefore, B can complete the job in 8 hours.

Hope it helps :)
