Let, cost of the watch be = x

cost of TV be = y

Hence, selling price of watch = (x - 0.15x)

= 0.85x

Hence, selling price of TV = (y + 0.10y)

= 1.10y

Accordingly,

$1 .10y - 0.85x = 250 \: ......equation \: 2$

Substituting value of 1.10y in equation 2,

$\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: 0.85x \times 5 - 0.85x = 250 \\ = > 4 \times 0.85x = 250 \\ = > 0.85x = 62.50 \\ = > 85x = 6250 \\ = > x = \frac{6250}{85} \\ = > x = 73.5$

Therefore cost of watch = Rs. 73.5

Now from equation 1,

$\: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: 1.10y = 5 \times 0.85x \\ = > 1.10y = 5 \times 0.85 \times 73.5 \\ = > 1.10y = 5 \times 62.50 \\ = > y = \frac{62.50 \times 5}{1.10} \\ = > y = 284.1$

Hence, cost of TV = Rs. 284.1
