11. Point 1. In regular reflection, light reflected from a smooth surface in a definite direction. In irregular reflection, light reflected from a rough surface in all directions and not in a definite direction.

Point 2. Regular reflection occurs at the surface of a plane surface like a plane mirror. Irregular reflection occurs at the surface of a rough surface like cardboard.

Point 3. Reflected rays after regular reflection are parallel. Reflected rays after irregular reflection are not parallel.

i) All reflected light obeys the relationship that the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection. When the surface of water is wind-blown and irregular, the rays of light are reflected in many directions. The law of reflection is still obeyed.

ii) Irregular reflection cause the spreading of sunlight everywhere on earth.
