Step-by-step explanation:

Given Side of regular pentagon is 5 cm

To find : Draw pentagon, and triangle of same

area

Solution:

Step 1: Draw a line segment AB = 5 cm

Step 2: Draw an angle of 108° at B on AB using protractor

Step 3: Take a length of 5 cm from B at angle drawn and label it C

Step 4: Draw an angle of 108° at C on BC using protractor

Step 5: Take a length of 5 cm from C at angle drawn and label it D

Step 6: Draw an angle of 108° at D on CD using protractor

Step 7: Take a length of 5 cm from D at angle drawn and label it E

Step 8: joinAE

Pentagon ABCDE is construed

Draw angle 54° at A & B using protractor meeting at O

Draw a perpendicular bisector of AB bisecting AB at M and passing through O

Using compass take length = OM and from O take 4 points one by one at equal distance on extended MO and label last point P

AABP is the triangle of same area as pentagon
