aluminium cannot be obtained by its oxides reactions with carbon this is because Aluminium is more reactive than carbons that is so it cannot be reduced from Aluminium oxide to aluminium in case of carbon .so in this case idea to metal then aluminium can be used to reduce Aluminium oxide to aluminium
