• Renaissance refers to a cultural movement that spanned from the 14th to the 17th century Europe. Renaissance period was certainly associated with rebirth with inventions , with discoveries by human beings.  During Renaissance period major advancements were made in the field of astronomy. It includes works of Copernicus,  who began to explore that Earth revolves around the sun.  It also includes the work of Galileo.It was a period of reasoning, of questioning, Renaissance was the age of discoveries, of questioning the given.  
• This period also witnessed political transformation.  People became more rational, secular in their outlook.  The idea of humanism , of the dignity of the individual , of man being a social animal formed the core of renaissance thinking. It aimed at acknowledging the work of human being at every aspect of social, political, cultural life and public life.People showed great interest in the study of legal studies during Renaissance because of the increased importance of trade and commerce activities which became an integral part of the towns and called for an increase demand for the services provided by law professionals for understanding the rules and written agreements. People began to question the role of the church, the invention of printing press further contributed in spreading reformatory ideas. Many universities also came up during this period that were engaged in research in science, law, archaeology.
