To FInd the Area of the following polygon, you will have to add the areas of all the shapes that have been divided inside this polygon:

So, firstly lets take out the area of the rectangle:

Area of rectangle= L x B

L= 10 cm

B= 5 cm

So, Area = 10 x 5 = 50 cm^2

Now, the Area of the triangle  :

Area of Triangle= $\frac{1}{2}$× base x height

so, $\frac{1}{2}$ x 5 x 5 = 12.5 cm^2

So,  $\frac{1}{2}$× 6 x height
