No subtract is not associative in rational number.

This is because,

Take three numbers 5, 4 and 6

Now, we will see

6 - (5 - 4) not equal to (6 - 5) - 4

6 - (5 - 4) = 6 - 1 = 5

(6 - 5) - 4 = 1 - 4 = - 3

So, we conclude that subtraction is not associative in rational number.
