60,000 - 6,000 ( 10% TD )

= 54,000

1/3rd of 54,000 = 18,000

Cash Received = ( 1/3rd of Goods Sold - Cash Discount ) + Tax [GST]

= ( 18,000 - 900 ) + 18% GST

= 17,100 + 3078

= 20,178

Explanation : Always first Discount is reduced and then taxes are levied .
