Let the ten's digit be x and one's digit be y.

X + y = 12 - eq. 1

10X + y - (10y + x) = 36

10x + y - 10y - x = 36

9x - 9y = 36

Divide the entire equation by 9

X - y = 4 - eq. 2

Adding eq. 1 and eq. 2

X + y = 12
X - y = 4
________
2x = 16

X = 16/2 = 8

X + y = 12

8 + y = 12

Y = 12-8

Y = 4

The no. Is 84

Hope it helps :)
